- 1 cup of water
- fresh bay leaves (like a handful)
- 8 tablespoons grated neutral soap
- Laurel essential oil (it can also be another if you want another scent)
To prepare it, first bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. If you have whole bay leaves, remove the central area (the stem) and crush the leaves with the mortar. When the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the bay leaves. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes.
Strain the water and heat it since it will have cooled. Just enough so that it is very hot but this time without boiling, you can do it in the microwave. Add the grated soap and essential oil, 5 drops will suffice.
Mix everything well until the soap has dissolved and forms a homogeneous mixture. Let it cool until it thickens and pour it into the container you are going to use. You can recycle an old previously washed shampoo bottle. Laurel shampoo is ready to use.
